How much do large sites pay to be cleaned 5 times a week?

If your site is well over 1000 sqm (sometimes smaller), then you’ll most likely need cleaning 5 times a week.

Between the daily foot traffic and the large space, these types of workplaces get dirty really fast.

Trust us, we get it.

But how much does it cost to have a facility like that stay clean?

At In-Tec, we clean a number of large facilities every single week so we know exactly how much it can cost to the client per week.

For a large site, you can expect to pay as little as $531 per week and as much as $1526 per week.

We understand that this is a pretty big price range which is why we’re going to provide you with three real-life examples of actual clients of In-Tec so you understand what accounts for the range.

Due to confidentiality reasons, we have not disclosed the clients’ names, but have no doubt, these clients are real.

Now, we do understand that every site is unique and has its own specific requirements, which is why we're providing a general range. However, by reading these three examples, you’ll be able to see yourself and say, “that’s me!” And subsequently, you’ll get an indication of how much you could be paying for commercial cleaning.

Let’s take a look at some pricing!

Client One: Large Infrastructure Company

Client description and location

First up is an Australian-owned business that specialises in the delivery of rail infrastructure projects.

The client’s site is based in Rocklea and is cleaned five nights a week Monday to Friday by the team at In-Tec.

What areas are cleaned within the site

Now, our cleaners don’t just clean one building for this site, it’s actually two!

Let’s see what the two buildings are and what’s cleaned.

Office building –

  •   Office areas
  •   Reception
  •   Kitchen and lunchroom
  •   Set of amenities

Warehouse –

  •   Warehouse kitchen and lunchroom
  •   Warehouse office

Does your site have an office and warehouse building that both need commercial cleaning?

The client's weekly cleaning cost

How much does the client pay for commercial cleaning five times a week?

The answer – $531.34 per week.

The reason this client pays the above charge is because the site has a lot of dirt and grime from employees that come out of the field/warehouse which means it always needs a thorough clean. After all, the rail industry can be dirty at the best of times.

Client Two: Large Packaging Company

Client description and location

The second client that we’re going to take a look at is a company that is responsible for the packaging of goods.

Again, the client’s site is based in Rocklea and is cleaned 5 nights a week Monday to Friday.

What areas are cleaned within the site

Before we dive into the weekly cost to the client, we’re first going to see what areas we clean within their site.

Similarly to the client above, we also clean two buildings for this site with multiple areas!

Office building –

  • Amenities
  • Kitchen
  • Foyer
  • Office areas
  • Boardroom
  • Meeting room

Warehouse –

  • Warehouse amenities
  • Warehouse kitchens

Weekly extras –

  • Buff vinyl floors once a week
  • Blow and litter pick the main carpark

Do you have similar areas that need cleaning?

The client's weekly cleaning cost

And just like that, we’re up to the final cost.

The client pays $806.58 per week with the team at In-Tec.

If you think your site is similar to client two, as in, you also have similar areas needing to be cleaned, then this is a cost you can expect.

Client Three: Large Head Office

Client description and location

Last but not least is the head office for a large multi-national architect firm based in Brisbane City who are also cleaned Monday to Friday.

What areas are cleaned within the site

If you think of the large office buildings you often see in the CBD, this client is exactly that.

This client is one of the biggest sites the team at In-Tec cleans – the office is located across 4 separate levels (basement, ground, level one, and mezzanine floor).

Let’s find out what areas our skilled team of cleaners clean.

  • 3 large open plan office areas
  • 6 management offices
  • Meeting rooms
  • 2 boardrooms
  • Reception
  • Kitchen
  • Kitchenette
  • 3 sets of amenities

One extra we will mention that we do for this client is pack away and empty the dishwashers every single day (which comes at an extra cost).

Do you have a very large office area that needs cleaning? If so, you can expect to pay a similar weekly cleaning cost which we’re about to look at.

The client's weekly cleaning cost

So, after all of this, how much does the client pay for our commercial cleaning service?

They pay $1526.61 per week with the team at In-Tec.

This client has the highest weekly cleaning cost for three main reasons.

1. The size (sqm) of the site is a lot bigger than the other two.

2. They are a high-end architecture firm that requires a high level of cleaning – their site always needs to be pristine.

3. The site has the latest and best setup a cleaner could want, ranging from the newest i-mop, an i-land trolley, and even the coolest and best battery-powered vacuum cleaners available. These high-tech cleaning tools are best for the job but do come with a higher equipment set-up cost.

If you have an office with similar areas that need cleaning, then this is a similar cost you can expect. However, be aware that there could be different factors that push the price up or down.

Why do the prices differ between the three examples?

This is a good question and although it comes down to a couple of things, there is one main reason and we’ve said it before. Do you remember what it was?

Every site is unique, and every site has its own requirements. What you may want on your site, could be completely different from what someone else may want on their site.

Ultimately, it comes down to the nature of your site, and the service you’re after.

What are the specifics of your large site cleaning needs?

It can often be difficult trying to answer the age-old question – how much?

Because as we all know, there’s no such thing as one cost fits all, especially when it comes to commercial cleaning.

What we’ve done in this case study is walk you through how much a commercial cleaning company will roughly cost you. The price range you can expect for a large site to be cleaned 5 times a week is $531 to $1526 per week.

But remember, prices can fluctuate up or down depending on what you’re after.
